177 Huntington Avenue

Boston, Massachusetts

177 Huntington Avenue was designed by I. M. Pei & Partners and Cassutta & Ponte, Associated Architects, and constructed in 1972 as the Administration Building of the Christian Science Center. The Modernist building is constructed primarily of a warm-toned cast-in-place concrete to match the older limestone church buildings in the complex. The Christian Science Center was designated as a city Landmark in 2011. As required by this protection, BCA obtained Boston Landmarks Commission (BLC) approval for all aspects of the comprehensive exterior repair project, including the selection of products and repair approaches.
