Dry Tortugas, Florida

An in depth materials analysis of a set of buildings that comprise the remote Dry Tortugas Light Station is being performed by BCA for inclusion in a Historic Structures Report (HSR). The buildings include a 19th century lighthouse, kitchen building and oil house, as well as a 1930s caretaker's house. The buildings' original mortar as well as paint finishes will be documented and will contribute to a better understanding of their construction and their history.
